Brand new BX 1500 (well almost)

Just picked up an 03 BX 1500 with just 270 hours with a 54" MMM from a fellow TBN member, this thing is in mint condition and it looks brand new. I've owned other tractors but this is my first experience with the BX series and I'm really impressed with the way it is built.
If any one has any tips or advise regarding BX operation/maintenance I'd be grateful.

That machines blows me away. Did the guy use it? It looks like he got those hours on it just driving around his yard carefully but not using the mower. Very nice.:thumbsup:

I have a 2005 BX1500 with a 54" mower deck that was previously owned by a TBN member. Imagine that. Mine had 100 hours on it when I got it and has 300 hours on it now. I will say when you change the Hydro fluid use the SUDT2 or better. I changed my fluid and it made a big difference in the whine and perceived power.:thumbsup:

My first Kubota was a 2003 BX2200 bought new and it was/is a great little tractor, my son in law has it now and it runs like the day it was delivered.

The only trouble I had was a blown hazard light switch.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but they offered an upgraded seat for those models; don't know the details as ours has the original seat.

Had a BX1500 (previously mentioned above) and it was a great hillside hugging mower. Most stable BX mower that I've owned and never a problem with it. Guess W Va was like home to it and apparently still is.:thumbsup:

Yes the BX1500 previously used by JOHNTHOMAS resides at my house and has for a few years. Thanks for taking such good care of the baby bota for me John I appreciate it.

I have an 03 BX1500 that I've had since it was new. It currently has a little over 300 hours on it - mostly mowing and snow clearing. It doesn't look quite as shiny as yours - ok, it's not even close. But it runs great, and I don't see an end to it.
What I have learned is to ignore all the posts about the newer BXs - the plastic deck, the long-running treadle vs. two peddles debate, and probably a few others. Just enjoy a nice, hard working machine.

Thanks for the comments, the only problem is that I"ll have to wait until spring to use the mower.
I hope it won't get dirty.
