Bradco 8ld fitted onto JD 770

I'm the proud new owner of a 770 with only 400hrs on it.

I'm thinking I want to put a backhoe on the back, since its such a light tractor relatively, I'd like to go the sub frame mount. I've found a bradco model 8ld for sale for a good price. Its currently mounted to a JD 970. Would I be able to retrofit it onto the 770? Is the 970 the same tractor as the 770 with just more hp, or is that a 790? I'm new to this stuff.

I'm thinking of going to give it a test out, but its a bit away from the house and if that BH is way too much for the little 770 then I'll have to start over.

I'm just guessing a new number 7 hoe from the JD dealer will not be cheap.

Right about even finding a new # 7 hoe. Might be a small frame for a hoe too.

Google the Deere 770, 970, and 790. Go to the TractorData site and you can see the 'larger, smaller, and newer model' sizes.

Sounds like a good buy if for nothing else, the investment. Does it have a FEL on it now?

Yup has a FEL on it. Its in pretty great shape. I bought it off a dentist. The loader is a JD 70 I believe.

The backhoe is a good deal, I just cant seem to get much info on it right now thats all. It does not seem to be a model number still made, I know its a sub frame mounted hoe, on that 970, so if the hoe doesnt weigh too much seems I could fabricate something to work right? Or if anyone in western WA is selling a number 7 back hoe with 770 mounts let me know, ha ha.
