I purchased this 12 volt conversion from psepbiz on ebay for my late-model '52 ford (Serial Number 8N281945*). Here is a link to the item I purchased (Part No AKT0004): Generator to Alternator Conversion Late Ford 8N Tractors AKT0004 | eBay
Anyway, the kit looks great and I want it to work. However, mounting the alternator isn't working out. I removed the generator, etc. Then, looking at the diagram on the instructions, it appears the vertical bracket should be mounted in such a way that the bolt from the water pump would fit through the slot in the bracket, making the bracket vertical. I cannot get this to work.... I am hoping somebody else has installed this seemingly popular kit.
Can anybody spot an error I am making? I called the seller and then the manufacturer. Both were stumped... I feel the manufacturer tried on the call, looking at the images I sent, etc... But, they basically just said send it back.
It'd be easier to just get this to work. Any suggestions?
