Box blade time I think

So I'm seriously looking for a box blade for my CK35 kioti.

I've talked to the local kioti dealer and he has two box scrapers in stock. The first is a 6ft kioti brand and the other is a 6ft walco heavy duty brand.

Kioti is $1295
Walco $699

Kioti seems to have radius moldboards and clevis style 3pt attachments

Walco has reversible cutting edges but they don't appear to be curved and uses pins instead of clevis for the 3pt.

Is it really worth the $600 more for the orange? This is mainly going to be used for driveway grading, leveling out some of the yard and likely some ditching. I figure I could buy another attachment for $600!

What is your thoughts?

That is a big difference! For the Kioti price, I believe I would be looking at a Landpride or Bush Hog as I have seen these and they are built heavy duty. The only Kioti I have seen was a basic BB and was not like the one you are describing and definitely not worth $1295. Based on your tasks, I am sure the Walco will do the job, just my two cents.

I figured you were a fellow Canuck without looking at where you were from. It's the prices that indicated it...we get the 'shaft' up here (no PTO pun intended) all the time and yet our dollar has been on par for 12-16mths now.

Thanks for the comments I too haven't seen a kioti box built like this one and was impressed... just not with the price. I'm leaning towards walco... this tractor is for personal use and I don't see it being used every day.

I bought my Buhler(by Farmking?) for under $1000 if I remember correctly from the JD dealer shortly after I bought my tractor. I am very pleased with it, very tough, heavy(400lbs+). I use it to grade a gravel drive, clear snow when it's not enough for the blower and as a counter weight for the loader. I would say buy the best one you can, considering the forces sometimes applies to them

Just got a box blade. It's a landpride, and I couldn't wat to get t n some dirt. Who ever thought of these things was a genieus! Who would have thought a box with a blade at the bottom could work such magic!
The thing with Canada, I hear, is that the government wants its cut. It's the import duties that aparently kill the price for you guys. Because of that, you get screwed in $cdn which isn't effected by exchange rate. I just recently learned of this when I saw somethiing about people who would not ship to Canada.

+1 Weight makes the box blade work better and even personal use, go heavy duty...... Quality does not cost, it pays
