I used one for years and loved it BUT you have to be careful. The cutting is done with the end o the bar and it can get you if you are not careful. My uncle had one on a saw that would not idle and he wanted to finish up so he kept gunning the motor to keep it going. It caught on a little sapling and the running chain came up against his face/ eye. They had to operate on him to get it all back together. That said if I lived in a house I could put a wood stove in I would have another bow saw set up in no time flat. They are so easy to cut with, you don't have to lean over just cut with the end of the bar. You need another saw for big stuff and the fell the trees, ( bow saws won't pinch and you can cut a tree that is leaning toward you and not notice.) But I have that already. I still have the bow off of an 028 Stihl and am saving it hopping I will have a use for it soon. Ed
