Kubota L4330DT & B7510HSD
After finally realizing that my little Iseki TL1900F (a great little tractor, by the way, for its size) wasn't large enough to take on some of my heavy duty bush hogging requirements without me spending forever on my farm (wife won't allow /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif ) I recently decided on a Kubota L4330. This forum was a great help in making the decision and the dealers also convinced me to move up after initially looking at the L3000 and L3130 (they still think I should be going bigger, but I think this will get me by for the time being). I was also seriously considering the Mahindra line for their simplicity and ruggedness for the price, but went with Kubota for a little more money to get some of the extras and a potentially higher resale value in case I do decide to trade up in the future. I didn't really look at green or blue (I'm allergic to plastic /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ).

Congrats on the fine new machine… now you have a “his” and “hers”…

The Mrs. can now enjoy your company, brush hogging right along side ya… in fact you can race and make a contest of it… /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

With 160 acres… I’d have to agree with your dealers… /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Having put 21 hours on my new L4330, I can fully endorse your choice based on personal experience. I have done loader work, box blading and mowing. It is a joy to operate. I am sure that you will find it to be excellent. With as many acres as you have, I might have been tempted to go to the 5030... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Don't know if I can get her on one of the tractors or not. She's one of those city girls, you know. One of my justifications for the new tractor was the safety equipment on a new one as opposed to the little Iseki. I will feel better with her trying to learn how to drive a tractor on the L4330. I have a 14 and a 13 year old and they will both learn to drive it. I'll keep the little Iseki for my self since it doesn't have ROPS, seatbelt and independent PTO (dangerous, I know I need to by one of those adapters for the PTO). Those fields will get clipped a lot faster with two tractors running at the same time, but I do believe the L4330 will win the race.

I was tempted to get the 5030 or a even larger tractor, but I have some small bridges that I have to cross and the 5030 and other larger tractors would have been a problem. I'll probably build some different crossings some time in the future and then it won't be an issue and then I'll probably wish I went bigger. That's another reason I went with the Kubota. If I do decide to trade up, I shouldn't get hurt too bad because of their high resale value. I think I also got a good price (approx. 20% off list). Looking forward to some seat time once the toy, oops I mean tool is delivered.
