Bought an L3130 today at auction...

At the Ritchie Bros auction bought a basically new (14 hours!) 2005 L3130, warranties through 8/07 & 8/08, with 723 FEL and hydrostat trans, for the absolute top dolllar I said I'd pay, $15k. The thing looks showroom.
So? Good? Bad? Average?
I called 3 local dealers before hand and same setup was $18, $18.8 and $22.3.

The thing I really couldn't understand was the MX5000 with 92 hours and FEL that went for $16.5!

Sounds like a great deal to me. Saving 3000 bucks for 15hrs use even with a shorter warranty on a reliable machine like this is well worth it in my book.

Ahhh.... one in every crowd.

$15k was the absolute most I could spend and though yes, it was a better deal, I certainly did not need the MX. For about half a second, I thought about buying it and then re-selling, but been there, done that, got the messed up Tshirt.
The 3130 was THE tractor I was wanting.

I already called the auction house (Richie Brothers) but I'm not holding my breath. At least they didn't immediately tell me to go jump in a lake.

The only thing you are losing on is the warranty ,other than that fair price but not auction price in comparison to a new equal.Try getting them to pay for the extended warranty in exchange for misrepresentation.

Not a bad idea. I told him it was a $1,250 option and he said he'll call me Tuesday. We'll see. Personally, I'm hoping he has access to a nice/new bush hog.
It's Richie Brothers so hopefully they'll do the right thing.
