Just got a new one myself 10 days ago. Only have 2 1/2 hrs on it so far because it doesn't take that long to get the mowing done now. What used to take me 4-5 hrs on my 30" Honda rider only takes 1 1/2 hrs... wider deck, faster mowing speed, and I don't have to double mow the long stuff. If it lasts the 18 yrs my Honda did I'll be real happy. Has the factory tires, but they seem fine for what I do. It even mows in reverse!

Ingo, I was just reading everyones Q&A concerning mowing in reverse, did you get a chance to look at your slight modification so you can mow in reverse, I to just bought a GT2186-48 and absolutely hate the fact that I can't use it in reverse. Can u assist me please. cheers

To disable the reverse take off the mower deck and look under the tractor for a plunger attached to the reverse pedal shaft and a button , just bend the plunger to the side so it does not contact the button that kills the pto. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Nightwatcher, No I haven't tried any more to find exactly what was modified. But I'm still fairly sure you can't just bend the lever on this one.
