Bought a B20 !!

Well I had to tell someone, and since my wife doesn't seem real enthusiastic, you guys are next. I just bought a '94 B20 with backhoe and loader. The first six years were cushy, just maintaining an estate driveway. Since then it's been well used in a small one man contracting company. A little rough around the edges, with 3750 hours on it. The front left will need a king pin bushing replaced and the pin and bushing at the bottom of the boom is sloppy. The engine runs great with no smoke and plenty of grunt. Also got a spare engine with it, only 40 hrs on it. I think it's a D905b like used in the Bx. He claims it will bolt right in-anyone know differently? It was used in a new light tower and after 40 hrs of use the project was cancelled and the engine was surplus. Paid $11.5k including delivery. Time to dig those footing trenches!

The D905 is the correct engine for the BX22, BX23 and BX2200 tractors. The "b" designation may refer to the bell housing on that engine. On the BX tractors, it calls for a D905E-BX code. Let us know how the B20 works for you. Hope this helps.

Lopez, what is it with wives and their lack of understanding the important things in life? I’ve had a B21 for five years and recently bought a L39, my dream machine. The wife’s comment as I was dragging her around the new tractor showing her all the great improvements was “the big one has a cup holder, that’s nice”.

Congratulations on the B20. Kubota’s TLB series are amazing machines for their size. The B21 continued to impress me so much I haven’t sold it after buying the new tractor. Now the wife does seem to have some enthusiasm about that tractor subject. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
