Both TractorbyNet and IMC Universe notifications from forum

About three weeks ago I started getting email notifications to subscribed topics from both TractorByNet.com and IMCUniverse.com, sometimes for the same thread.

I see that TractorByNet is a part of IMC Universe, but what's up with the dual email notifications?

The email notification from "TractorByNet.com" best describes what forum the replies are from.

I'm still getting dual email reply notifications for forum threads from both "TractorByNet.com" and "IMCuniverse.com"

Is it a wrong setting in my forum email preferences? The settings had worked fine for months.

Why is IMC Universe.com now sending out email notifications in addition to TractorByNet.com. for the same forum replies ?

Is anyone else seeing this or are the Email Spirits just wrathful on me?

Well, I get the ones from Tractorbynet, but I've never gotten anything from IMC Universe.

You can set your notifications to no email notifications and click save

I turned on various email subscriptions for the past two days; I receive them, but ONLY from Tractorbynet only. No one else has reported this. Maybe clean/delete your TBN cookies, and re-log in.

To post the headers, I "rescued" those particular TBN reply notifications from the ISP spam filter.

Comparing the rejected reply notifications to the regular reply notifications in my inbox, they all have nobody@IMCuniverse.com in the return path. I don't know why the ISP filter rejected some as spam and allowed others to pass through, since they were all notifications to the same threads here. So I've adjusted the ISP's spam filter to let them through.

Well heck. Problem solved, thanks for looking at it.

Our servers are leased in the name of IMC Universe, Inc. Tractorbynet.com is one of the URL accounts hosted on the mail servers we use. So, as you note, there is a simple and reasonable explanation, that the email service is working correctly.

Ah, yes, computers do weird things. When I first get on the computer in the morning, the first thing I do is download my e-mails. This morning, I had 6 notifications of responses to threads I had posted in; everything normal, right? So, then I deleted them. Normally that would be the end of that. But not this morning. I have my "options" set to check for new e-mails every 5 minutes when I'm on the computer. Well, this morning, I received and deleted the same 6 e-mails eleven times. I was wondering whether it was Tractorbynet's computer, my ISP, my computer, or just gremlins. Then I got a couple more e-mails from Tractorbynet with 2 copies at the same time. But I also got an e-mail from an unrelated company confirming shipment of something I had ordered and I got 2 copies of that one at the same time, too. I'm guessing it's my ISP????

Hey Rex, I haven't noticed you on this site before. Good to see another islander on here.

Also interesting to see I'm not the only one with WhidbeyTelcom issues. I was receiving e-mails from my office for many months when all of a sudden it started putting them in my spam box. Had to add the name to trusted senders list.

Hi Fellow-Islander! Yes, I got another so-called "spam" from WhidbeyTel this morning from a longtime subscription to GoogleMaps that suddenly didn't pass their filters. They must be tightening up against the phishers, etc...

What're the odds that our little island would have two subscribers here both retired from the Navy. I get a kick out of you Sig Make welfare as hard to get as a building permit. I cleared and built on 8 acres down here by Freeland and man, ya' gotta' jump through some hoops and shell out the dinero to get started.
