Looking for input!
I plan to purchase one of these two and found the TC26 seems to be a little nicer compact tractor however the TC26 is a left over 06 model, FEL, turf tires, no fluid and a 60 in. rear discharge mowing deck for $17995. seems a little high.

The B7610 is a 07, FEL, fluid in R4 tires and 54 in. mowing deck or for a few bucks more I can go to a 60 in. deck. $15050.

Is a TC26 actually worth that much more and any ideas on tradein a few years down the road.

The TC26 is a bit more tractor than the 7610 it kind of falls in between the 7610 and the B2630/B3030.

Having run a 60" rear discharge and 54" side discharge on my TC18 - I'd go with the side discharge unit. Rear will clump up on you in the spring if you don't keep up with the lawn.

Welcome to TBN :D! I agree with Hazmat as to the "26" falling between the 7610 and the B2630/3030. I went with my TC as it felt (to me) to be more ergonomically designed than the Kubotas. Jay

I sell them both, they really are very different tractors. Get in the seat and drive each one.

Our use of the tractor the first couple of years will be doing a fair amount of work with the loader and a box scraper but still mowing about 2.5 acres. Within about 6 years at most we plan to move up to more land however that is a ways off but I was keeping it in mind so I would not need a larger tractor then. Even going to more land I don't think we would maintain a larger yard so the Kubota is enough tractor for now.

After seeing both these tractors again tonight and last night, I know the TC26 is a bigger stronger tractor. The dealer I met with tonight offered the 2007, B7610, my choice of tires with fluid, 352 FEL and the more expensive 54 inch mowing deck for $14800. -$3500 for my trade. He will also give me the new and improved seat when it arrives.

The 2006, NH TC26 package I mentioned in the first post is now at 17995. -$4000. for my trade. The price may come down a little if I can get them to swap for a 54 inch side discharge deck. The turf tires would most likely stay but the dealer said if I don't like them in the snow he will give me a set of front chains. Since I am new to looking at New Holland does this appear to be the going price?

Does this

When I was looking at tractors last year, I received a couple very similar quotes on the TC26. If it were me I wouldn't try and swap decks, the 60" NH "914" deck is a very nice deck. I really like the fabricated decks more than the stamped ones like the Kubota and most others have. My recollection is that deck weights in at about 400 lbs.

Why would you want to go with the smaller deck? I have the TC-24D with a 60" 914A side discharge and turf tires, love the setup. The turfs are wide, and the 60" deck gives that little bit of extra reach to get up close to things. Its basically the same tractor running a 200 RPMs slower, and I have never had a problem with power. The 60" 914A deck weighs in at 460ish for the rear discharge and 480ish for the side, so Mike5252 is right about it being beefy.

I also have the turfs loaded and use rear chains in the winter, never had a problem on ice and snow.

You're close enough in price that you need to drive them both to decide what fits you better, they are both nice machines.

I looked into switching the decks but there was not even $200. in savings so not worth switching. I was thinking of the smaller deck due to some of the wooded area we mowin our creek bottoms area. When I looked at the 60 inch rear dicharge deck it appears to be about the same size as a 54 inch deck with the deflector in place.

The dealer is willing to drop it at my house and let me try it in my yard so we may test it here.

Thanks for all the input.
