Just thought I'd post up for any of those looking at the Boomer 1030. I changed both hydraulic filters, one for the HST and one for the hydraulic system, oil filter, and fuel filter and of course the corresponding fluids.
All said and done it took me one evening to complete the service and go around and grease up the tractor. One thing I noted was that you do not have to remove the operator deck to do the service but I did do so in order to find the one filter, after which I removed the guard under the tractor to get at it.
I did find that all the spin on filters were on there pretty tight and required a solid wrench, I actual broke my small filter wrench trying to get the oil filter off so I had to go to a jaws style wrench, which worked nicely, guess I should have used it from the start. All filters are only hand tightened as per the manual so hopefully they come off a little easier next time.
Hydraulic system takes 13 litres of fluid and around here the NH fluid will run you around 50 bucks for that. The two hydraulic filters came to 128 bucks... the large one was 80 dollars so next time I might try to source that from someone other than the dealer... pretty crazy price I thought. Oil filter was like 5 bucks and it didn't use a whole lot of oil to fill it up either, less than a 4l jug if my memory is right.
Total cost of the service was right around the 225 dollar mark once all was said and done. Plus my time I guess. This is in Canadian dollars by the way.
So if anyone has other questions let me know. I fired it back up the other day and she runs like a top so I must have put it back together right!
