Boom Pole for a New Holland Boomer 24

A guess on my part that further out from that hitch heavier items may be harder to lift- much like a set of forks on the loader. If that were true, then the smaller one would be best. I certainly could be wrong. Your tractor I think is a cousin of mine and my tractor only weighs ~ 2400 pounds or so with the loader and bucket. What was your intended use?

To lift logs and other things. In reality nothing heavier then what I could lift by my self or with another person.
I am realistic of what it could lift.
Also I agree about the the longer the boom, more weight on the rear of the tractor.

Just the Tractor with no attachment weighs 1833 lb.

The Boomer 24 has a 1433lb lift capacity at the 3 point hitch.

The boom pole amplifies the distance of the lift point as compared to the lift arms,,
in other words, if your lift arms go up 10 inches, the tip of the boom pole goes up 40 inches,, or a 4 to 1 increase.

To get that increase, the lift capacity is reduced by a factor of 4,, so your lift capacity will be 1433/4 = 358 pounds.

(my numbers are guesstimates,, but, probably close enough for this explanation)

The lower cost boom pole is the better choice,,
it is well within the weight capacity of your tractor,, and since it is lighter, it will be MUCH easier to connect to the tractor,,

You know that neither of these are quick hitch compatible??

The heavy duty one sold by TSC fits in my Landpride Cat 2 quick hitch with no issue FWIW.

WOW,,you are right, those boom poles are nothing like the one I have,,

SO, disregard EVERYTHING I said in the previous post,,
The tip of the boom pole will only raise as much as the lift arms go up,,

My boom pole connects like a post hole digger, directly to the top link connection point,
it is completely different than the two TSC ones,,,

In lieu of a Boom Pole, consider installing 5/16" chain grab hooks on your FEL bucket to lift ~~~whatever~~~with chains or nylon straps.

Unloading 300 pound Field Cultivator with 600 pound Cultipacker mounted on Three Point Hitch as ballast.

BEST QUALITY VENDER: Ken's Bolt on Grab Hooks <<Home>>

I wanted the longer reach so went with HD one, its well made and should be able to handle anything my compact tractor could lift. It is quick hitch compatible.
