Front-End Loader Bolt on vs clamp on bucket teeth

Hi:

I'm looking for advice on bucket teeth. What do folk prefer? The style where you drill holes in the bucket to bolt on or the type that clamps-on that do not require drilling? I guess one advantage of the bolt on type is that you are less likely leave the teeth in the pile! I'm in Ontario, Canada and I can find both styles for sale relatively close by- HLA has bolt on and Canada Forks has the clamp-on type; actually Bucket Solutions products). I have a Kubota L3560 tractor and 805 FEL with 72 inch bucket (SSQA bucket). Any and all advice is appreciated.

You asked, so I suggest and have a bucket with welded on teeth and another smooth. Being quick attach, this works well. An extra bucket is not an expensive thing to have around. Also, often a great thing to leave somewhere to throw rocks and debris into, not tying up the machine and pick it up later.

I thought of a separate bucket, but it is one more item to store around the acreage. Any particular brand you would recommend looking into. HLA is one obviously (pretty heavy by their specs), but are there other manufacturers in Ontario that I should look at? To be more specific I am in the London, Ontario area. Thanks,

True. Attachments can start to get in the way. I remember when HLA did custom stuff for me. A very long time ago. They have indeed come far.

I went with a bolt on tooth-bar;easy off if needed.(Never have taken mine off though).

No don't have one I just use reg bucket with bolt on cutting edge smooth , But if I needed teeth that's how I would go its fast and easy to take off...

I have a bolt on from WR Long.

Drilling holes in the bucket sides is not a major task.

It is easy to Remove and reinstall.
