Greetings to all who visit my post. New here! I recently purchased a 'new' to me Bolens G242. Not bad for the age. I am looking for a parts/service manual as I can't seem to find any info online about this machine. My main concern is that I have noticed a pretty decent hydraulic leak at the 3pt. It was not evident when I looked and tested the tractor before buying. When i pick up the tractor, we mounted the rear blade and parked it in my garage with the blade on the ground, so there is no pressure. I have yet to have a chance to dive into the issue yet and it has been parked since.
My main questions are what hydraulic fluid does this unit use, just AW30? Also, is the hydraulic reservoir its own isolated tank or is it pulling fluid from the rear end. From my limited understanding, some of these compact tractors use the rear end as the reservoir. I don't want to destroy the rear end if that is completely empty.
Any help would be appreciated.
