Had not used my CK-20 for several months until today. Started fine. Warmed up for 20 minutes, all was fine until I tried to move in high range. Could barely get it to move. Put into low range and was able to get it to move but it seemed like the brakes were on. I did not leave the brake applied when not using it so I have to assume they are not stuck. All hydo functions work as normal. Any ideas ?????

do you have the "diverter" valve inside the right side fender for a BH? If that is not shut when the BH is off alot of things don't work. My dealer told me about this on delivery day but totally forgot about it

Check the hydro level first thing. If that's okay, and you have a loader on, run it through all it's functions, and then sit it on the ground for a few minutes with the engine running, just to remove any air that may have infiltrated the system.

The only other reason I could think of is that the clutch may be out of adjustment, but that's not likely. The manual tells how to check the adjustment.

Switch back and forth between low and high a few times, making sure you clutch first and see if it makes any difference, and if there is any difference between forward and reverse operation. Let us know.

Hydro level checked out fine. Ran loader curled bucket etc. all seems fine. Switched between high and low range several times with no improvement. Too early for a cold beverage, maybe just a refreshing walk in the blueberry patch.

Did you store it with the clutch disengaged? Maybe something there.

I must admit that I'm stumped with this one. Unless something is restricting the flow of fluid, I can't think of another thing. Possibly changing out the fluid and filter is in order, and hopefully, if there's a restriction, this will remove it.

Got back from the blueberry patch late in the day (got over 20 pounds) which is like a therapy session if you are stressed like I was and hopped on the tractor for one last try. All hydro systems worked as normal. High / low range worked fine. I really don"t understand. Do I really have to pick berries to appease the tractor Gods. Tractor was parked on level ground and just prior to letting it set for 5-6 hours, it still seemed like the brakes were on. Could that have been the case and just released by magic after setting for a while???

John, did you have the clutch locked in the depressed position while you weren't using the tractor? It could be that the clutch was not fully engaged due to some sticking and maybe it was only half engaged. That's the only thing I can think of.
Did you have the brakes locked in park all the time you weren't using the tractor? Maybe they were a little stuck, but being wet disk brakes, I doubt that's the case.
Always make sure you hook the clutch pedal down when you're going to let the tractor sit for long periods so that it doesn't stick.

John needs to put that blueberry fix in the manual, could come in handy in the future.
