bobcat toolcat snowblower problems

hey everyone.i work at a golf course.we have a toolcat.it has always been a very poor performing machine ,along with the dealer we bought it from.one example is when the machine is blowing snow and the wheels lose traction the snowblower stops.when that happens the chute plugs up,then you have to clean the chute out by hand.does anyone else have this problem?

Would be helpful to know year of TC and series A-D. High flow? Lack of traction should not effect the flow of the hydraulics to the blower. The motor of the blower needs to be the correct one for the flow rate. There are several different motors for the same size of snow blower. There was also a bad batch of hydraulic drive motors in some TC's - early C series? Causes poor power and performance. Those with the bad motors still seem to show up. Bobcat did replace a lot of those even out of warranty but now BC seems reluctant to fix any more. Do a search and you will find out about the hydraulic motor problems.

I have a D series 5610. It has been a fantastic machine for me and has addressed the issues with the other series. My only gripe is the pto hp is limited but that is the nature of a hydraulic pto.

Whether the wheels are spinning or not, the snow blower should still spin at the required rpm.

I found that the SB200 I bought had the higher torque - but lower fan speed motor. I switched it out for a lower torque but higher speed fan motor to keep the speed of the snow moving thru the chute faster but it does bog down if I feed it to fast or the snow is too heavy.

Has the machine been maintained properly? (filters replaced on time?).

As Radman1 says, tell us anything you can about the Toolcat you use (year) and any info about the snowblower (SB200, SB240, width, blower motor package) -the info is on the tag on the blower motor.
