My T190 thru a trac while using it over the weekend. I released the pressure on the bleed screw and small amount of grease came out. Then opened it a couple more turns and tried to move the front idler in with a long crow bar no luck I then tired to use a block of wood and the bucket it moved a hair. I have tried a small bottle jack to push it back in and moved it about 2 to 3 inches. The tracks were last off about 2 years ago when they were replaced. The machine has only 50 hours on the new tracks. Any ideas on how to get this idler pushed back in. Thanks for any help.

Idlers only move a few inches. Even on the big machines. It takes a little bit of persvasion to get them tracks back on.
Ive never seen it done on a skidsteer. With a excavator you just use the bucket and pull the track tight and hold it tight againt the idler and drive it back on.

The idler should come out pretty easy. If you pull it out you can clean up the sides to ensure no dirt, stone, or splinter of wood is blocking free movement. I grease the idler sides of the idler frame before installing it. Sometimes it slides back out from being so slick. You did remove the bleeder plug, right?

With the idler removed you might be better able to pry the cylinder in.

I can only push the idler back a couple of inches I think I will have to pull it out and clean. The tensioner is the part that look like it may be stuck. I am going to remove it and clean the rust and dirt out of where it goes. In the service manual it looks like it just slides in.

I was able to get it back on. I had to take the idler off and pry the tensioner out and clean and reassemble. Once that was done I was able to install the track easily. All is well and back to work. Thanks for the help.

If anyone has this trouble. I used a block in between the bucket and the track, while it was jacked in the air, and used the bucket to put pressure on it and it released quite easily. I placed a cut in half milk carton under the grease fitting.
