My husband rolled the loader and thinks he may have damaged the hydraulic fill/filter cap on the side of the cap. It will not snap on again and looks like it may have broken.

Also would like to know how to measure the hydraulic fluid level. This is a borrowed machine so we are concerned about getting it back in good order.

The hydraulic cap screws on, not snap on, so is likely broke off at the threads.
Check the oil level with a dipstick. It is either next to the fill cap or is down in the fill hole under the cap. Unscrew rest of the cap from tank, dipstick should right under it.
