Hello to everyone.
I have a Bobcat 873. Despite it's age it hasn't done that much work and is in pretty good condition.
Recovering from a shoulder replacement, the Bobcat sat unused for 5 or 6 months. It started straight away after this time, but the lift and tilt are unresponsive.
When I push the pedals the revs drop and it makes a noise as if the arms have already reached the end of their travel, but nothing moves. Oddly, the Aux ( that opens and closes the bucket) still works when I press the button on the right pillar, so I don't think the problem lies with the pump. The Boss screen displays no error messages.
The hydraulic fluid level is correct and there are no big leaks anywhere. It seems a bit weird that something can break when it is not being used.
Before I start looking at complicated solutions does the switch on the left pillar - activated by pulling the bar down - shut off the main hydraulics?
It would be great if it was something simple like that because the nearest workshop is 140Kms away and they won't do "house calls" meaning an expensive float just for a diagnosis.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
