I am looking at buying a 2004 863 for 8k. Its in decent shape with 2600 Hours on it. Based on my research this is a really good deal for it. My concern is it appears to be on the large side for Home use. My current task list is widing my driveway, snow removal and general driveway maintenance, removing an 18" thick by 30' long x 10' wide patch of top soil ant the end of my shop and replacing it with rock and fill dirt, Making Quad trails in the woods, and posibly digging a pond. Please advice.

The pond digging part you will want a machine that big, other than that the other tasks you mention it is a bit big for but you can do them.
