Bobcat 463 pump belt tensioner

Is the only way to replace the broken spring on the tensioner to remove the engine and pump assembly. I managed to get the broken spring out, but there doesn't seem to be a way to install the new spring and set the tension with the engine and pump in the machine.

Did you get it replaced?

My Versahandler service manual says to unbolt the engine mounts and move it forward for clearance. Don't know about skid steers.

No, I'm not going to get to it until tomorrow, had too much other work scheduled. I don't need to pull it all of the way out, but darn close. The engine has to clear the frame and at that point there isn't much left.
