My manual says I basically have to disassemble my Bobcat to replace the chain. I was hoping to take out a link and use a master link until I find time to replace the drive sprocket and chains. Anyone done it this way?

You can break the chain and replace with new. You must use exactly the same spec chain as original. (tractor supply bulk chain won't last). When you put it back together, you must swage(?) or rivet the repair link,NO MASTER LINKS
Your local dealer should hav ethe stuff you need.
Even a little loader like the 453 generates big torque. A regular master link will break and or cheap chain WILL breal sooner than later.
