The farm truck I've always wanted since the WWII 4x4 trucks Chev4x4-WWII-G7107.jpg have rusted away.

Many photos of several versions here

The local Kubota dealer has one.

Here is one of the builders/dealers, with prices and options. Base price $16,500. Way cheaper than a new pickup.

Back in the 80's I drove for a company driving refurbished military and new postal vehicles out of the AM General plant in South Bend, IN to rail spurs all over northern Indian, where we'd load them up on trains and send them all over the country. Most of the vehicles were 5 tons, but we'd get the occasional deuce and a half. I always liked the looks of them. And now that we're seeing the bob's, those are even cooler.

Wow, I had no idea. Bobbed deuce and a half. What's not to love here?

Definitely not a highway speed truck at 48 MPH top speed but a great farm truck or back roads vehicle. I recently sold my 1 1/2T Chevy (not 4x4 and 6.17 gearing). Loved the truck but could not keep up with my buddies on the highway driving to car shows. Price isn't bad either but adding the options to the price can be a deal breaker.

A guy close by has one, I first noticed it in his yard with a snow plow on it. I happened to catch it at a small car show near by, here' a pic. Yeah, real cool trucks!

I have a pair of 2 1/2" axles from an International truck that I kept wanting to do something with. They came from a Loadstar 1700 4x4 firetruck with hydro brakes. It also has a divorced transfer case. I often find myself looking at a set of 53" used military tires (or even 59" Super Swampers). I know I don't have the time for a major project but it's nice to think about when I do. Seeing pictures of these deuces just makes the desire to start it.

Sound's like you need to find a old Dodge Power Wagon to put that gear in.
