Blue Ox gets her FEL done

Bud bumped a tree with his factory bucket first thing out of the gate.

The tree bumped back.

First thing was to remove the bent part.

Then to replace the factory twelve gauge with a piece of two and a half inch (2 7/8) schedule forty pipe.

Then I used tacks when nails weren't appropriate.

Since he's next to a pond and might take the tractor fishing, I gave her some hooks.

I guess since this was mig'd we can refer to it as a line tying that hook to the FEL?

Harv; That musta been one bad tree!! I like what your doing, and may do that to my bucket as well just for the strength before I do my boompole attachment for the FEL. What did you cut the rolled edge off with. I'm thinking of just using a Metabo with a cutting disc on it. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

One things for sure Harv, the bucket is a lot stronger now then it was when it came from the factory new. Are you betting that he'll have at that same ol' tree again now that the bucket has been strengthened?
