TBN Gang,
I was opperating the BackHoe Yesterday and there was a "loud" Bam!
For a moment i couldnt figure out what happened? One of the rear stabilizer arms gave way and the Rootgrapple was not holding the front tires off the ground.
A hose running the lift cylinder on the loader blew like a 1.5 inch rip in the
hose.
OK here is the questions was i pushing the Hoe to hard or was this some kind of freakish defective Hose?
Im 99% sure their was NO prior damage to the hose.
Also could this damage the cylinders/pistons?
Well one thing for sure the L39 can spray some hydro fluid. I was just bragging on the Tractor too...55 hrs and not a single thing wrong...
Thanks for any insight/pointers.
John

Flex hoses break without warning and will spray a rather long distance. I had two FEL hoses break on me on a previous tractor and I would have had hot hydro fluid in the eye if not for the saftey glasses I wear when operating my tractors.
A busted hose will not damage a hydraulic cylinder.
Replace the hose and go back to work/play.

Make sure you replace the hose with at least a 2-wire 4000 psi hose. Some of the cheaper hoses you see out there are really 1-wire hoses and should be avoided.
