Block heater for 4340C???

Does anyone out there that has a 4340C or similar have a block heater installed?? If so was it dealer installed or did you do it yourself??

I would like to put one on my 4340C as I don't like starting it cold when it is below zero. It does start fine but it don't like it.

It there a part# for the heater from Montana or after market?

Also want do most people recommend, a block heater or a lower raidiator heater??

I'd recommend a block heater because its effective and is a clean installation. If there isn't an accessible core plug to install it, a tank heater would be my next choice. It needs some brackets to hold it in place, however. The last choice would be a rad hose heater because you really need coolant heating inthe water jacket and the rad hose heater is the least effective of these three methods. If you have no other way of putting heat into the coolant than the rad hose heater is your only alternative.
