Tractor Sizing Blade Box size for a YM 2210D

Hi all, I just purchased a rebuilt YM2210D it is 26hp and also is FWD.With a FEL. Can anyone tell me what size BB this tractor will pull without any problems? Also what size mower will it handle. This is my first tractor and I am truly impressed with the power lil red has! BTW do any of you guys name your tractors?

Welcome to TBN. Generally speaking I believe the width of the box blade is 4-5 hp per foot depending on soil type that you are working with. I would say in the 5 foot range. You will run out of traction before you run out of power.

Thank you Mike. I forgot to tell you I live in Florida, land of the sand.I take it I shouldn't have problems with a 5 ft blade then right?

I live in Poland and all we have where I live is sand too. You might get away with a 6 foot, but 5 would be safe. Mostly you want to cover your tracks. I made a 4 foot rollover for my 1510D and I think that most of the time it will pull it, albeit not clear full. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/build-yourself/99596-rollover-scraper-minimum.html
