None!
OK, TOTALLY unrelated to tractors but I know there are a lot of knowledgeable people out there...

I just got a BlackBerry phone. I have Outlook and email through Go-Daddy (email is running OK on the phone). I want my Outlook calendar/tasks/notes/contacts in my BlackBerry. Can anyone point me to a simple "how to" to get that done. FWIW I have Vista and Outlook 2003 (and to further complicate, I use FranklinCovey PlanPlus in Outlook).

And to keep it tractor related, I may need to contact someone while out on the tractor, or add a new tractor task to accomplish!

TIA

How do you want it to sync, when you connect your phone to your computer or automatically over the air? For the former it's a setting in the BlackBerry Desktop software. For the latter I'd recommend setting up a Google account and using Google Sync (download for your PC here and for your BlackBerry at m.google.com). Sync will synchronize your Outlook calendar to your Google Calendar and then your Google Calendar to your BlackBerry. Google Maps is also great and well worth the price :)

Thanks for the info Jeff, I suspect it's not as hard as I'm expecting it to be. I'm OK with a hardwire sync to the PC, that's what I've always had with my Palm. Not sure I want all that info out in cyberland anyway.

Thanks again

It's pretty easy. I think you just click the Synchronize button in the main menu of the Desktop Manager software and then check the box that says Synchronize Organizer Data. The next time you sync it should walk you through a wizard to set things up for you.

Google's applications are an exercise in risk/reward. Since I access my stuff from a slew of computers both on and off my home network having things centralized is a big reward. Any my lack of being interesting (see Iron Horse's thread :)) reduces the risk.

Good Mornin Rob and Jeff,
While your giving out information ! ;) My wife just got the I phone, and am wondering whats involved in getting any Jpeg files downloaded to CVS for hard copy. Do I have to download the pics to my desktop and then send them to CVS for prints ? Or is there a way to do it wireless?

Thanks,

Your wife can email the pictures to CVS directly from the iPhone. Is that what you're asking? If you want to, you can access them via iTunes on your desktop as well.

Thanks for the help guys. It was as easy as I had hoped. I only wish they did a better job in the documentation of explaining what the different apps are for. Example, I found I don't need the VZAccess disc at all, that's for using the phone as a modem for internet. The Blackberry disc took care of everything and a guy at Verizon help line was most helpful. And yes milkman, I have already found CrackBerry.

Thanks again, I'm fully connected now!
