Black bucket or JD green?

My 790 came with the black bucket. Why are some black and some green? Anyway I'm thinkin of paintin her JD green. Ok it's Monday and I'm bored.:laughing:

Good question, my JD front blade is black. One would think all their attachments would be green. :confused3:

Can't really answer your question. My 790 has a 300 loader w/green bucket.

It's yours, paint it whatever color you like!

Does your loader have skid steer mounts? If so, you might have a skid steer bucket

I've never seen anything to indicate why some are black and some are green. Mine is black. Attached are x55 Deere ads with the same picture. The early ad (1987) shows a green bucket. The later one (1994) shows a black bucket. Clearly they just altered the picture to change green to black.

Don't know what year the green paint changed tints but offering the implements in black would eliminate that issue.
