Tractor
Kioti NX5010HST
I am looking at new tractors. I need a bigger unit with more power. 40-60hp is what I am looking at.
Anybody running a new Yanmar YT347 or YT359. Just want to know how it is working for you and if you like it
I am also looking at the Kioti NX tractors. They look like a strong well made unit.
I am also considering LS.
From the info I have gathered so far, Thay are all well made tractors.
I am just looking for your experience with any of the 40-60hp units out there.

I know the Kioti tractors are good and I'm sure the others are fine and pretty comparable. I have a Kubota L3901 and needed more PTO power for a chipper so I got a Kubota MX5800. I like bare bones tractors without cabs so the MX has been great for me. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them depending on what features you want. Now, I just need to get a mini excavator. :)

40-60 HP tractor, Mmm are you keeping the Max 26L,
If so and you have some larger jobs -work planned

May want to consider a utility tractor over a CUT, The extra weight and strength are handy imo- if the size doesn't bother you.
Once you get above about 45 HP there are many more choices in identical hp machines even in the same companies lines but FEL capability - max lift height , 3 point lift, tire wheel sizes, front axle design/strength and overall mass can be quite different even though the hp is the same.

I want to run a brush hog, work some small food plots and clean up blown down trees in my woods. I plan on selling the Mahindra.
I need a CUT because it will fit in my garage. No room for a full size.

storage limitations make sense esp. in your part of the world w/extreme cold. on the flip side, do you see your needs possibly expanding in the future requiring larger size/hp? if so, don't limit yourself w/the existing housing. upgrades are expensive, been there several times.....just to look at all the angles. good luck

I'd personally reconsider getting rid of the max unless it is simply impossible to keep it and get another larger tractor. Working in food plots, many times I wish my 40 horse was about 4' shorter front to rear and am considering a smaller tractor, something along the lines of the biggest max or just barely larger for that type of work.

Running a brush hog is all about PTO power, so the more the merrier there. As far as getting your woods cleaned up, I would advise ensuring whatever you get has a front loader 3rd function installed (or at least easily installed) and SSQA (skid steer quick attach) on the loader. That would allow you to hook up things like stump buckets and provide power for a grapple.

My big tractor was a Mahindra 5525 (55 hp engine, 45 hp pto, 2WD, power steering, 8F/2F partially synchronized tranny). Owned it for 7 years and put about 275 hours on it. No problems. Just did the normal maintenance.

Good luck with your tractor shopping effort.

I want more PTO hp to run a brusher, a 3rd loader function with SSQA and at least one rear remote.
My MAX 26 only has 20hp at the PTO, no SSQA and no option to add remotes.
I would like to keep the little MAX, for its size it is very strong. I can't afford to have 2 tractors at this time.
I have just started looking and comparing.
My biggest issue is dealers. I have a Deere dealer that is local. Any other brand dealers are 100 miles or more from me.
