Tractor
JD 5100e with FEL
I am in the market for a mid/larger frame Ag tractor, in the general range of a JD 6120M+ size. I'll be using it primarily to build up a new 126ac farm. I need to clean out fence overgrown fence rows, plant, move bales, and other general tractor type work. I did the same thing before on a different farm with a JD5100e, and while I did it... I was straining that smaller frame size and really pushing that tractor more than I really should have been doing. It did it... but not without 120% effort.

So on this farm in similar shape, I want to go up a frame size and a few HP. Pull a 3 shank subsoiler, no-till drill, and FEL work is the primary need. I think something in the realm of a JD 6120M will be ideal, but they are quite pricey. I'd prefer a good used machine, just like everyone else. And as I've been looking at Kubota M7-151 popped up at a good price for me. 148hp, 15K frame weight, 14K 3pt lift, with FEL. Beefier than I need... but if they are good at FEL work and with those stats, I'd certainly be interested.

But... while I 'know' the reputation of smaller utility Kubotas, I have absolutely no experience or acquaintance with larger Ag type tractors.

Any thoughts on this for my purposes?

Local dealer is selling them, I have no hands on with them.

I'm pretty sure the 7 series is built in France versus Japan like the smaller ones.

I’d say no.
Look at Case-IH, Massey Ferguson.

I'd buy a Fendt.

My neighbour had the Kubota M7 and traded it in for the Fendt. Said the K was fuel efficient but too light weight. He likes the Fendt better for loader work and pulling trailers.

I'd own one now if there was a dealer anywhere near me.

When I was looking to buy a much smaller tractor, 70 HP, my first place to look was at Kubota. It was nice, but it was pricey, and kind of bare bones. I looked at other brands, and then somebody on here suggested Massey Ferguson. The more I looked at Massey, the more I realized how much more I was getting for my money. I have zero experience with their bigger tractors, but in my opinion, they are going to have everything Deere or Kubota has, plus a lot more, for less money.

There are not many Fendt in the area. It’s mainly JD with a Few Red tractors scattered. Closest actual dealer is about 3hrs.

When you look for Fendt, you actually look for AGCO. I’d look at Massey and if you can afford it, Fendt.
Both at same dealership ;)
Both have similar transmissions & rear axles. Fendt has nicer cab, and Man or Deutz engine. Massey has AGCO power engine (Sisu or Perkins)

I have seen some great off-lease deals on pre owned Kubota, Fendt & MF

Maybe it's a model to model thing; but I was watching something about the 110hp Fendt, and they mentioned the price could swing over $80k up or down based on options/specific spec for the same model. Now, sure MF or any others have options too; but they were talking about Fendt having an absolutely massive board of available/option build specs on same model.
