I tried taking the BH90 off my L3830 last night. I got the left pin out easily but no such luck on the right. Taking the wheel off tonight and convincing the pin to come out. Any suggestions before I do this? I don't think I'm doing anything drastically wrong. I saw the BH90 removal thread with pictures, and I followed it exactly.

Thanks!

Sometimes I have the same issue with my BH92, all I do is wiggle the dipperstick back and forth, up and down till I find the position where the pin gets slack. It is binding due to the uneven ground or some slight misalignment. I usually have to tap a bit on one or the other pin to get them to move initially, after the turn and pull. lots of lube helps.
Good Luck!

I have a BH 90 also and found what Docone said to be correct. I have not had to remove a tire but have spent some time with adjusting the hoe and even slightly moving the tractor. You might have to put the other pin back in and move the tractor over and try again.

I tried putting the pin back in, but no such luck. I'm thinking that there might be a little bit of rust on the pin or inside one of the holes, or a paint chip might have found its way in when I put the pin in originally.

I have it on a concrete slab. When I take the left pin out the whole thing does shift. I can move the whole thing with the dipperstick and the stabilizers.

I also have a BH90. You have to wiggle it around with the boom. It also helps to lift it with the stabilizers. It usually takes me about 5 minutes to remove the backhoe.

After removing the left pin, the BH should not move, you have to support it with the stabilizers and use the dipperstick to get the slack in the pins.

Idle the engine and just barely move the stabs or the dipper stick. Keep your hand on the "T" pin so you can feel when the pin is loose. When I had a bh65 there were times that everything fit on the first try....then there were other times that I questioned my ability to do anything!

My BH 77 is finicky, same thing as yours. You need do do just as others have said, Pull one pin, then use the bucket and stableizers till it hits the spot where you can pull the pin.
