Just got a BH90 on my 3830 dealer installed and am curious as to those who have one as well on how to hard it is to take off and put back on and any tricks I should be aware of to help.......
Thanks
Oh It is on a 3830 with sub-frame connectors if that matters...

I had a heck of a time at first.. but once you get it down it's pretty easy. The real key is to get it on as level of a surface as possible before you remove it. Also.. in the book I think it tells you to move the boom forward until the rear tires come slightly off the ground. I've found that I just want to get the weight off the axle.. but not quite to the point the tires come off the ground.. then the pins come out real easy.

getting it back on is more difficult.. just because you have to get the tractor just right and you don't want to pinch any of the hydraulic hoses. I use the stabilizers to jockey it into the proper position..then slowly move the boom to push the BH into place.. in go the pins and you're done.

Watch those hoses.. and remember to take the pressure off the hydraulics before you disconnect or you may have a heck of a time getting the lines to reconnect.

hope this helps.

it gets easier the more you do it.

level ground!

I have one (3830 also) and it gets easier after a couple of times. It just takes practice with the touch to get to the "neutral" spot where there is no presure one the pins. An excellent post by TXDON I wish I had seen that myself before I tried myself.
One thing I found out ( opps!) when you have the BH off, be careful to make sure your sway bars are pinned prior to raising the 3pt hitch. It is possible to catch and bend them on the BH sub frame ( this is when I named myself goneandbrokeit!).
Enjoy your new purchase.

I don't have that hoe, but have a hoe that I have take off and put back on. Biggest thing is that you want the ground to be firm. Put plywood under the hoe )I use jack stands to hold it up. If the ground is soft, the hoe can sink down lower than the mounts. The ground should also ideally be sloped so the tractor will roll a wee bit towards the hoe. It's a real pain if it is the other way!

I also have a 5' long steel pry bar to help with alignment. An 8' bar would be more helpful at times, but too heavy to carry around.

The "pro's" will hook up the hydraulics and jocky the hoe around to help with alignment.
