BH65 and Lever Stopper

In my BH65 manual, it states "when backhoe is attached make sure to properly secure the hydraulic control lever in the DOWN locked position. Accidental operation of the hydraulic control lever will result in valve damage".

Then they show the "lever stopper" in place (mine is just a bare piece of metal with a c shape) holding the lever to it's lowest position. The Lever stopper is rather ugly, may have to paint it plus it seems to dig into the plastic housing.

Anyway, is that what all you guys with BH65 units do, attach the lever stopper? Here is how mine is set up currently (see pic)

same here. does it really matter? its not like the arms will hit anything if they go up., plenty of clearance
