Considering to purchase a a BH75 for my L3400. Is there a reference to the upgrades that were made as to new cylinder Dia. or serial number range??

As far as I know, the dipper stick cylinder was changed from a 30mm dia. rod to 32mm. You would have to measure this with calipers to be sure; eyeballing it with a ruler wouldn't be close enough. Unless your eyeballs are calibrated or something ;-)
The old part number for the complete cylinder is 7K501-32010 and the new part number is 7K501-32020, but these numbers are not stamped on the cylinder. I believe these cylinders are made for Kubota by some outfit in Italy. You might find a number like DE 65/30x495 or DE 65/32x495 stamped on the cylinder if the paint hasn't filled it in. It's obvious which stamped number is for the larger 32mm rod.

The cylinders look about the same. I was one of the first to experience the problem and after three broken cylinders and my video tape of it breaking, Kubota finally upgraded the cylinder. i now love it!!
