BG100E or B6100E

A friend of mine has found this BG100E with a Back Hoe it is a 14 hp the man wants 4700.00 dollars year unknown at this time at least 5 years old was very small but would work grat in friends Horse barn. Any of you have any info on this tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

The owner got this tractor from Duke Power so I am assuming it is a commerical unit any of /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gifyou know.

If this is a B6100E, it is at least 20 yrs old. Last made in 1984. I have a 1983 model. Tractor alone is worth $1800 for trade in. FYI

Thanks , Its supposedly a very good running machine and well taken care of so the tractor it self should be worth about 2000.00 would the backhoe be worth another 2000.00

I know the B6100E very well. I had mine for over 20 years (I bought it used) before selling it a couple of months ago. I sold it with a rusted 48" MMM, Kubota tiller and an abused Woods 4ft blade as a package for $2800.00. (No loader or back hoe.) The tractor had about 2k hours on the meter. I was going to trade it in and the dealer said it had a lot of hours but, when I asked how long it should last he said that that engine was good for 5k hours. (I ended up selling it to an individual because he knew the tractor and asked to buy it if I bought a new one.) My implements were pretty beat up, but the tractor was in good shape for a 25 year old tractor and running strong. I loved that tractor, just couldn't pass on a chance to upgrade (B7610). I thought I got a fair price. My take on the tractor is it is a good strong dependable tractor. But, it is pretty light for back hoe work. I found it to have a lot of power but sometimes had problems getting traction even with 4 wheel drive. It was light for grading and moving dirt. (I moved tons of dirt with it anyway.) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif It would not be my choice for back hoe or loader work, but it is a dependable little tractor that will work hard.
