Novice question, but how do I know when to stop pumping the grease gun on the Bevel Gear Case? All other greasing locations squirt out grease when they are full. I pumped and pumped and finally gave up. Its a DK45SE BTW.

What are you referring to? The front axle bevel gear case?

Bevel Gear Case is what its called in the manual, but your description sounds just as good. Its the zerks that would appear to be for the front wheel pivots. Not sure where all that grease is going..... if 4 is all that is needed, its greased for life now.

Well, I'll have to look again now cuz on my DK45 the whole darn axle case from the wheels to the crossmember is filled with oil. Not sure what exactly you'd be greasing thru a zerk. Are you talking about the tie rod ends that attach to the pivot housing?
Maybe the newer tractors are different than mine.

Nope, not the tie rod or as its called in my manual "Power steering Cylinder". Its a zerk right into the upper half of each bevel gear case. As you point out, that front axle is filled with oil, which made me wonder if all that grease I was pumping was just eventually mixing in with the oil.

Was at my local Kioti dealer picking up a full set of filters and I asked the parts guys about the concept. They didn't seem to have any opinion on the matter.

I would first check the oil level on the axle case and be sure it's full.
Now the zerks may be there merely for Kioti's convenience in shipment. It's better to ship axle cases that are empty. Now, you can't have zero lubrication on the bevel gears so a shot of grease will keep from damaging things while the tractor is in the process of going from Daegu South Korea to Wendell, North Carolina. Once at the distributor the hydraulics and axles get filled, negating the need for the grease.
That's my guess anyway.

The zerk in question lubes the steering knuckle pin and it's bushing. When I grease my 3054, the grease oozes out between the steering knuckle with it's pin, and the axle support which houses the bushing(that is bolted to the top of the front axle case with 4 bolts).
