...............to be out doors today. 78 degrees down in the woods and I was breakin a sweat while working.

Gotta love Texas winters!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Planted an acre of deer forage last weekend and today it was already 1-1/2" tall. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

With today being the first day of deer season my neighbor was doing her part to save the deer. She is a real animal lover and while I am a hunter I respect her views. I don't hunt this property and in return she keeps an eagle eye on my place running off any trespassers.

Anyway she was making a heck of a lot of noise over there. Riding lawn mower, brush hog tractor, her kids making a racket, target practice with her pistol...............I just listened and grinned knowing the guy hunting the property next to her was cussin a storm. I got my shots anyway.................with the 35mm camera. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hope they turn out.

I'm guessing here:

Either she's a vegetarian... or believes that grocery store chickens die in their sleep. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

It was beautiful here, too. Our high approached sixty degrees and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. I started working today with a T-shirt, light sweater and Carhartt zip front sweatshirt but had to put the Carhartt in the truck by Noon. I thought about going with just the T-shirt later but kept the sweater on. As the sun was going down the wind picked up and it was back to the truck for that sweatshirt again. I love this kind of day and got a lot done because of it.

It was beautiful here in Vermont as well! Wind whipped clouds and a balmy 38 degrees melted just about all of yesterday's snow. Tamara and I constructed a windbreak in front of the sheep pen and moved a bunch of tools and stuff to their winter locations. Nothing worse than having some critical piece of machinery frozen to the ground! Pete

We took the sunshiney day to finish digging 3 rows of potatoes.. we use a potatoe plow(middle buster).. and pick them up by hand.. I said.. "Doesn't it feel good to get your hands in the dirt in November!" Though some were bad.. we ended up w/ 7.. 50lb feed bags full.
