Best method for cleaning cut grass off of the deck, machine and underside of F mower.

Try using a decent leaf blower. No comparison when you're using a wand with air compressor. You won't believe how fast that grass flys off. It's the only thing I use my leaf blower for now other than getting fires blasting LOL

Never to old to learn something new and a better way. I have a leaf blower and had never used it except this past year to blow snow off my upper porch during our historic snow fall days.
Used the blower yesterday to blow off the underside and deck of the F3080:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::licking::licking::cool2::cool2::cool2::drink: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: WOW!!! I now will be using the leaf blower for cleaning off the F and getting a second one to keep at the rental property to clean off the new Z when it arrives.
This is to good information to not share with all F owners so I'm going to post this to a new separate thread to share with those that may not read this one. Again, thank you, thank you.

I just got a shop vac- blower head at a yard sale for $10 and it works well. Not as well as a leaf blower but you don't find good leaf blowers for $10. It works for me and I don't have to wonder if it will start.

I use my air compressor, after every mowing.

That's what I've been using with the extension wand for about 7 years on my Fs, BXs, Bs and one L but no longer after using my leaf blower.:cool2: May still use the air compressor with extension wand to clean off the motors,
I Just ordered another leaf blower to keep at my second location where I have my other F which will soon be replaced with a ZD326rp.

I thought JOHNTHOMAS, just buys a new mower/tractor when the deck gets dirty. Air compressor for me, top side only. Neither does much for the underside in my experience.

I've been using the blower from my shop vac head also. Seems to work very well. Anyone have any ideas for cleaning the underside of the deck, besides a stick or power washer? How often should the underside be cleaned? I've been scraping the worst buildup out with a wood slat after each use, but it's a pain. It would be great if companies could use a molded plastic shield under the deck, or a thick coating of teflon, so the grass doesn't stick. I just worry about rust having wet grass clumped under there.

This is mostly for F owners who will know what this is about, especially with the rear discharge deck. The downside of an F mower is the grass covers the battery and the entire underside of the machine not in any way like on the BXs, Bs, Ls. ..........F model Kubotas with rear discharge deck, should have clarified that in original post.

I used the wand you gave me when I got your mower, but when I cleaned out the garage one month, I couldn't find it right away (wand), so I thought I'd give the leaf blower a try lol

I now use my leaf blower to clean out the car and truck of dust, dirt, lost candy, old receipts and other spewage. Open all the doors and let her have it. Leaves that nice 2-cycle fragrance to the interior. More manly than that pine tree smell.
