a few days ago ,i baled 29 6x5 bales in a hour.while tying it with biodegradable plastic string.i was using a mccormick cx70 with a jd 535 baler. the Bermuda grass was very thick.that was the best hour for me all summer.
How much do you think those bales weigh? I have done over 25 an hour on average all day a few times. But only about 1000 pound bales so 12 to 13 ton an hour.
that was bermuda grass ,so i would guess about 1800 lb.it takes real fine hay nearly to wet to get over 2000 lb.i have a 5x4 john deere baler that routinely rolls 30 a hour .they can weigh over 1200 lbs.it takes a big windrow to make this speed.
I'm running a JD 336 square baler so I top out at about 7.5 tons per hour in good conditions. We had a faster baler before (MF224) that could stuff about 12-13 tons per hour through if pushed hard but they looked like garbage over 10 tons an hour.
