I ended up buying my ATV on the phone from far away because the local Polaris dealers here are pretty weak. How about Kubotas - any good dealers around?

Dickinson Equipment in Fredericksburg is a smaller, family owned operation. They are always very knowledgeable and always have good prices. Not the absolute best firesale prices, but always within a few percent of the best prices I've seen anyone buy anything.

They don't "deal", but their prices are right on their equipment, so you can get a lot of good data by just wandering around their yard looking at prices on your own.

Start by visiting the dealers in your area. You'll get a good idea if you like them on not. Remember if the pricing is off by a few hundred, but you like the dealer, go for it. If pricing is everything to you, there's a internet Kubota dealer in NC, I think.

Me... When I was shopping I stopped by a bunch of Kubota dealer but I ended up with a Kioti from a dealer on this site. The reason wasn't because I didn't like the dealers or the price. My reason was because BX24, when the FEL and BH were off, was no bigger then my current Sears riding mower. Then when I looked at a couple of slightly larger machines, they just didn't have the FEL capacity I wanted in that size (I needed something that could take standard QA).

Now, if I didn't have so much digging to do, I would have gone with the BX24. It's perfect for landscaping, gardening and mowing. Not that it can't do more, but it would take more time.

Last year I bought a BX-24 from Gateway Tractor in Upper Marlboro and I bought a B-5200 from them in 1986. This year I bought a BX-1850 from Precision Small Engine in College Park because they gave me a great price on it. Both seem fine dealers.

I bought my first tractor from Byrd tractor. I didn't shop around when I bought it though. That was 8-9 years ago. I just bought a new tractor and shopped around this time with 5 different dealers and I bought from McMichaels. Byrd was the highest. A 4K price difference between McMichaels and Byrd. This is new tractor minus trade in difference. McMichaels was in the middle of a move to their new location so that may have had something to do with it, although they didn't have my tractor. They had to get it from the dealer in Orange, who I had also got a quote from. I do ALL of my own work on my tractors, including repairing the grenaded rear end on my last tractor, so I don't know how any of their service departments are.

I bought my 2350 off of browning in Purcellville. I bought off of them due to the fact they are close to me. I will be honest the price was not the best by far. I also had problems with the loader hydraulics leaking but they took care of that. The only thing I do not like is they do not have enough mechanics to handle the work load they have. Other then that they are a great group of people to deal with. Let me know if you want the name of the salesman I deal with.
