==========
the 12v on demand pumps can be rather nice. much simpler design, more so for "spot spraying" with a hand wand.
when you go boom's. the wider you go the more you pay, and it gets to a point were a PTO pump may be needed. PTO pumps tend to be a bit more costly when you start attaching a "hand wand" to them for spot spraying.
you do not need a HUGE tank. make it so it takes a couple times or more to fill up and go empty the tank spraying. the sloshing of the water on hills, is the issue, but also the cost keeps going up on larger the tank gets. if you are not doing spraying non stop all the time as a job. then not really worth it IMHO.
make sure you can adjust nozzle types for booms and hand wand, along with being able to adjust the boom nozzles (up/down) vertically. so you can adjust the over spray that the wind will grab.
boom nozzles with a little filter in them can be rather nice option. they may not get much if at all. but when you get that little something clogging up a boom.
hand wands, get something that allows "extensions" to be bought, preferably cheap plastic extensions. that flex. so you can pee into the wind, or write your name with your pee without getting splatter back on you. the extensions lets you get the spot spray hand wand were you need it up close and personal. vs well splattering you.
3pt hitch carryall, or 3pt hitch pallet forks, can be rather nice, if you get a "skid" setup. and then use the carry all / pallet forks for other things.
having a "cleaning pipe / mixing pipe / spray bar" inside the tank can be rather nice. (think lawn sprinkler but a long pipe going horizontally through the tank)
there should be some sort of "anti vortex / anti whirl pool" doom over the bottom outlet on the tank that feeds the pump. so when you get down to the last couple inches of water you do not begin sucking in air. (example draining kitchen sink and as it gets lower you begin seeing a whirlpool formed and noise begins getting made)
garden hose connections can be an issue on some setups. as in filling with actual water. opening up a man hole on top and tossing hose in is all fine, till it slides out. or you need to be 6 foot plus tall to reach it. some of them offer a generic garden hose hookup on the side for easier hook up.
not a fan of "reels" for spot sprayer hand wands. were you gotta wind the hose back up on some garden hose reel do hikey. prefer something that i can "loop" the hose on. so i can physically grab a few loops, and then let the loops out as i walk over and around obstacles.
if possible make sure hand wand hose comes out the back. so if you have a second person. one driving, the other walking around spraying. the sprayer person can leave say 10 feet of hose out back dragging. and not causing issues with hose still on the unit.
