belt for old ford flail mower

I have an old ford 7' flail mower that uses a C53 belt. I have been using a Gates belt but have burnt several off. They only burn off if I get in too thick of grass and don't take the cruise off quick enough. I have searched for a kevlar belt and also clutching cover belt but haven't found any so far. Does anyone know where I might find one that will last longer?
