Belarus Bone Yard?

Anyone here know of a Belarus salvage yard?
I have this 400A that has a couple of holes in the block that I need to get running. TIA

Hey Dan,

That's an air cooled LTZ built one is it not? The engine in the 405 and 420 I do believe is also the same.

Here's a tractor breaker in New Brunswick that has a 420 they're parting out www.brunnet.net/coates/belarus

Theres a dealer here that quit carring them here has a truck load of motors and power units new on the crate he shoved outside affter he got fed up with hs supplier. Its in Mississippi about 80 miles from here. is yours air cooled i may take a trip down there to see what hes got. I need an engine to make a loader out of. Take care Taylor Lambert

Yes , it is an air-cooled. If you go down there I would be interested if they have one to fit the 400A and an approximate price.

The only reason I am even thinking about getting this thing running is that the clock only has around 100 or so hours on it and I have next to nothing in it so far. If i could get it running ,it might make someone a useful machine.( Assuming I can get it going without much cash outlay /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif)
The sale values are pretty low on these dudes around here /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Hey Dan,

What's the story on the tractor,and its troubles,especially with only 100 hours? The Lipestk tractors generally have a better reputation than the Minsk built ones.

Hey WB,
I'm not sure what happened--I picked it up from an individual who got it from the company he works for.
It has pretty sizeable holes on each side of the block. (Threw a rod.) But the rest of the tractor shows no wear--except for the fact it was left outside most of its life. Tires are like new.
I agree, those air cooled ones are tough,heavy- built little suckers.
If I can find an engine for it I may just keep it for myself--Unless,of course, someone wants it worse than me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Im headed down there in a week ill keep you in mind, i think i cvan get a bargain on them would you beinterested i none stuck by moisture not that hard to break loose for 2 cents a pound lol. Hey Taylor,

The tractor model is a 400A. four cylinder air cooled diesel . Engine serial # 2852509. Tractor serial # 375223. The other numbers and letters don't mean much to me in Russian. Says it was made in USSR.

Ill call them today I had a freins that sold them one time told me buy one tractor get the dealership free, Turned out alot of them were good tractors just had alot of maintenance on the air cooled ones.
