how hard is it to become a Kioti dealer. I've been doing alot of research and I have no plans on ever selling the big 3. I prefer the lower 3 I also have another business that I'm going to keep runing until the dealership takes off. I plan on selling other products besides tractors

I guess you would have to be asking Kioti about that. Or your banker.

Don't know where in CT you are, there are or were two Kioti dealers on the eastern side,,

You will have to show assest to cover your creit limite on your floorplan...you will also have to show a solid buisness plan and not be in an area already covered by another dealer...good luck and keep us posted.

I went by the Kioti dealer on RT44 in Canton the other day and they are gone. I just checked the Kioti site and they are no longer listed. There seems to be an opportunity there.

well i'm located in the North Haven area. I think both dealers went under because the one in old Saybrook doesn't even have any tractors in stock. I think my area would be better since I have over 300 landscapers and about 30 farms / landscape supply houses in the area. I also want to sell either Montana or TYM tractors also. Of course both lines are the same.

Kioti doesn't even reply to my emails nor do they call me back. I figured maybe someone on here knows some stuff about there operations so I don't have to waste anymore of my time calling and leaving messages

I think you would have an awful hard time in New Haven area getting any tractor dealership. Up the road from you, at most, 2 exits up 91 from the 95/91 split is Coastal and I believe they already have TYM. Maybe Montana too.. The other side of you is Mahindra at Johnson Bros. Then, there is a Kubota dealer somewhere in NH, and you have that larger dealer of Kubota and New Holland a few exits south of you. But, don't give up trying you're bound to get somewhere..

Hi,
Don't E-mail, you should call 1-919-374-5100 and ask to someone in dealer development. They will point you in the right direction.
They have been extremely busy with their yearly dealer meeting recently.
Good Luck,
KiotiDave

I'm not sure what Kioti will ask, but the majors won't even look at you unless you have 3 million plus in assets.

I already know its going to be tuff. As a matter of fact I'm only 1 block away from the local JD dealer and about 20 miles from coastal. Basically I wanna sell some different items that they don't. It is a free enterprise. My friend a few months back opened a hobby store 5 miles away from another that has been in business for 30 years. Well is store is putting theres out of business and hes only been around 8 months.

I'm not looking to put anyone out of business. I just wanna sell a good quality product and offer great support for it. I don't feel there is anything wrong with selling the same product line as the guy 3 towns over. I think it would help us both because now the customer has 2 different dealers he can go to for repairs, parts or attachments for there tractor. If theres 2 dealers close by selling the same product line that will give me (The Customer) more confidence in that product. Just like Exmark mowers there are 7 dealers all within 20 minutes or less of each other.I've bought stuff from each one mowers, parts, attachments ECT

Well, guys all this feed back is great thanks a million
