What is the best replacement battery for this tractor?

If you check back threads you will find the information you need. If money is no problem the JD dealer has your battery. I do not believe in their being much difference and find a suitable battery at a discount store, warehouse club, etc. Many people on TBN would not agree with my automotive battery choice but I have not had an issue. Works fine for me and saves money. I did change the battery clamping hold down on my JD4410 to a car style heavy rubber wedge with a bolt hole/bolt. It was in my junk box. ---Fuse

I got 10 years out of my JD battery that was in my X595 and put a little over 1,000 hrs on it. Decided to get another JD battery since the first one lasted that long.

Take your battery to Advance Auto, Auto Zone, etc. and they'll have the suitable replacement. My JD original battery lasted 4 years, the auto store battery is on year six now.

I have the same model tractor. Went through two JD batteries in the first two years. Got an Optima and have had no further problems.

The Interstate Workaholic Group 22NF batteries that my JDs came
with work for a long long time. You can't just buy them anywhere and
if you want to use the OEM hold-down clamps, you have to get a 22NF.
Walmart does not carry them, but I will bet most auto parts places can
order them. They will prob be over $100 though.

I run the OEM batteries until they are dead and then put in an Optima in all my vehicles, on my Dads Case 1190 and CaseIH 585 on the farm, and will do the same to my 3032e. Never had any issues with Optimas. I also had an inside source back in Ohio at a mom and pop tractor and farm supply store...

Install the highest CCA and highest Amp Hr , vibration resistant battery that can be crammed into the battery compartment. On any machine if the chassis return/ground cable is attached to sheet
metal. Re-route the cable to fasten under one of the starter mounting bolts. The increase in cranking rpm will be noticeable. Temps above 77F, over charging, under charging and.vibration .Fastening the battery clamp with one wrench instead of two has wounded many a battery that later had an internal buss bar failure. Bubba obtaining battery water from the tap instead of using demin water has shortened the life of millions of batteries.
