Battery For 35 Deluxe

Im hoping to get the 35 (gas engine)that I aquired moved back to my house this weekend. I does not not have a battery and was wondering if anyone can tell me what size or a make / part number of a battery that will work in this? I called our local tractor supply and they said thay only had a 6 volt battery listed and I kno that isnt correct. W have another farm supply store local that I hope to contact today. I wasnt sure if I could just go to a auto parts store and have them reference one for me. any help is always appreciated!

G'day we use delkor 22f520 in those it is too small for the holder but is more than enough battery to start these

is a TO35 or MF 35??
TO could be 6 volt
MF most likely a 12 volt

Look at your coil it might have the voltage on it somewhere

if it is a 6 volt go ahead and convert to 12

WHat makes you think 6v isnt correct?? A lot of old tractors are still 6v. And as mentioned, if this is a TO35 delux, and still has the generator, it is 6v. If it has an alternator, then someone comverted it to 12v.

If it is indeed 12v, just go to TSC or your choice of parts stores and get any 12v battery that will fit in the battery tray. (Take some measurments before you go)More CCA the better, but also more $$$. At least a 600-650CCA should be fine.
