Has anyone ever baled sweet corn stalks after you致e picked it? I just square baled 2 acres and wanted to make sure I wasn稚 going to make the cows sick if I feed it to them. I may end up using the bales for Halloween decorations if its not safe for the cows.

Haven't heard of baling corn stalks BUT. This is a big area for sweet corn and the canneries supply the waste to dairys and others. No stalks but husks, cobs and some corn. This is placed in bunker style silos and fed to the cows during the winter months. Has been SOP for decades.

Some dairy farmers also grown field corn and chop it for silage and goes into the bunkers.

Frank, this is off-topic, but I just copied and color corrected your avatar photo. It's attached. I'm not sure if you intended to have your original look so blue, but this one seems to have truer colors and you are welcome to use it if you want.
