Bale monitor questions.

Hello, I have a couple questions about bale monitors. first I was wandering if bale monitors are universal (can you use any monitor with any baler?) does just round balers use monitors or does squares use them too?

To my knowledge no bale monitors are used on sq balers. Because of differences in wiring harnesses and sensors the monitors are for brand only not interchangeable to colors. On my '05 JD 467 I can adjust number of net or twine wraps,space the twine,move outside twine in/out,set height of bale and keep track of bale count all from the comfort of the tractor cab.

Most of the balers (small square) I've seen, one's lucky if one gets a bale counter.

I believe that some of the Freeman balers have a bale scale option, and one can adjust tension using hydraulics. Others may have that too.
